Festival of the Sun 2018
Also abbreviated as FOTSUN, Festival of the Sun is an annual outdoor music festival. It is usually held in December and at the Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park. Simon Luke was the person who originally launched FOTSUN. In the past, he was running numerous small, free festivals in the regions. He managed to acquire more funds from small local businesses that supported the idea of building a live arts industry in the region. In 2003, Festival of the Sun finally gain major traction. Hence, it was moved into the local tourist park. When it became a ticketed event in 2005, it managed to attract about 1,200 people. That’s a pretty good start! In 2018, Festival of the Sun is coming into its 15th official year!
