With a unique combination of art space, live music venue, a nightclub and a bar, it is hard to define this place. Your work night out is pretty much sorted at this venue, with a chance to catch live performances from international stars in this cosy bar. Down goes the curtains and the beats drop, as you excitedly hit the dance floor to live the night. If you think that’s all happening; you are wrong! There’s another random band playing in the attached mini bar, or artists performing in the glass cube.

Marquee Sydney

Marquee Sydney comes terribly close to being one of the best night-out venues in the city, with an overwhelming capacity of 1200. The World Bar

A favourite night time spot for party animals and indie lovers, The World Bar is a Kings Cross stalwart housed in a sprawling terrace. It is best known for offering a stage to up-and-coming DJs and indie bands, along with kitsch cocktails in teapots.

Things get wild and loud, especially on Wednesday evenings with a bass and drum-skewed affair, while the weekend nights are all about indie and electronic beats. You will also find open mic nights, jazz and comedy on other nights of the week. This delightful venue is just more than perfect to release all that work stress from your body.

Hudson Ballroom

This underground nightclub on the Liverpool street features a dance floor with a spinning mirror ball, a light-up bar, concrete booths for group hangouts and a front bar with a Bedrock feel to it, hosting pop-culture trivia nights.
